- 1 l red wine
- 100 g brown sugar
- 6 sprigs of mint
- 3 oranges (organic or untreated)
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 2 star anise stars (star anise)
- 2 cloves
Wash and dry the oranges. Squeeze the juice from two of them and cut the third into slices. Since the orange peel is preserved in mulled wine, it is preferable to choose it with the organic label, or at least untreated, because the peel of citrus fruits from conventional agriculture contains many chemicals.
Seize the wine in a saucepan, add the orange juice and brown sugar and bring to a boil.
Add the broken cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise stars.
Cover and let steep for 15 minutes.
Distribute the orange slices in 6 glasses, pour the mulled wine over them, decorate with a small sprig of mint previously washed and dried, and serve immediately, for a mulled mulled wine!
